Liturgy

This committee is responsible for the liturgical life of the Parish. It oversees the recruitment, training, and scheduling of the various liturgical ministries, including lay distributors of the Eucharist, lay readers, altar servers, and music.

An important area of responsibility is the decoration of the Church, both in ordinary time and for important feasts. This is done through a decorating sub-committee. Other significant responsibilities lie in the organization of ushers, ministers of greeting, children’s liturgy, religious education, and, most recently, a Vacation Bible School.

Through its appeal for volunteers, which occurs every two years, the committee also provides information regarding prospective members to other Parish organizations. In recent years, the committee has conducted a “Loonie-Toonie Collection” during Advent, the proceeds of which go to support a Third World family. Thanks to the generosity of parishioners, this collection has been extremely successful.
